ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Data Quality Engineer at Pixalate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and excellence of our products. Collaborating with our engineering and data science teams, you'll develop, implement, and maintain effective testing strategies, with a primary focus on data integrity and automated UI testing. This role is key in ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of quality and exceeds our customers' expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be hands-on in performing Data QA and building Plans.
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to understand product changes and define applicable tests.
- Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases, focusing particularly on data integrity and logic.
- Carry out functional, integration, and regression testing, with a focus on data testing.
- Identify, log, and track defects throughout the testing process, ensuring that all data and UI issues are effectively addressed.
- Use queries or other tools to validate data, verify transformation rules, and conduct back-end testing.
- Implement automated UI testing processes using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Pixalate's QA methodologies.
- Document QA procedures, ensuring the sharing of knowledge and best practices within the team.
- Other responsibilities as needed
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a QA role, with a particular focus on Data QA.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in SQL or BigQuery Standard SQL for data validation and testing.
- Experience with automated UI testing tools.
- Understanding of ML models and methodologies for QA’ing training data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
