(Child Online Privacy)
About the Role
We're seeking a Product Manager to lead our child online privacy and safety initiatives across our mobile and CTV platforms. You'll develop trust and safety features that protect children in digital advertising ecosystems while ensuring compliance with global child protection regulations. This role requires deep expertise in child privacy laws, age-appropriate design principles, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical product solutions that detect and prevent harm.
This is a remote role based in Singapore.
What You'll Do
Product Strategy & Development (40%)
- Own the child privacy and safety product roadmap, prioritizing features that protect minors across mobile and CTV advertising environments
- Define requirements for age verification systems, parental consent mechanisms, and child-safe data handling
- Implement privacy-by-design principles and data minimization across all child-facing features
- Partner with Engineering and UX teams to build intuitive parental controls and privacy settings
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management (30%)
- Ensure compliance with Singapore PDPA, IMDA guidelines, COPPA, GDPR Article 8, and UK Age Appropriate Design Code
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Children's Privacy Impact Assessments for new features
- Lead incident response for child data privacy issues and coordinate with Legal and Compliance teams
- Manage regulatory audits, submissions, and maintain current child privacy policies
Cross-Functional Leadership (20%)
- Champion trust and safety culture across Product, Engineering, Trust & Safety, and Marketing teams
- Provide privacy guidance and review product launches for child privacy compliance
- Present initiatives to executive leadership and engage with external child advocacy organizations
- Coordinate with Customer Support on parent and guardian concerns
Metrics & Innovation (10%)
- Track privacy metrics, adoption rates of parental controls, and age verification effectiveness
- Monitor global trends in child online safety and evaluate emerging privacy-enhancing technologies
- Conduct age-appropriate user research and contribute to industry forums on child privacy and trust & safety
What You Bring
Required:
- 5+ years in product management with 2+ years focused on trust & safety, privacy, compliance, or child safety products
- Deep knowledge of child privacy regulations (COPPA, GDPR Article 8, UK AADC, Singapore PDPA/IMDA guidelines)
- Experience conducting privacy impact assessments and managing regulatory compliance projects
- Proven ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical product features
- Strong collaboration skills working with Legal, Compliance, Engineering, and Design teams
- Track record of shipping trust & safety or privacy-first products in regulated environments
Preferred:
- Background in ad tech, mobile apps, CTV platforms, or digital media
- Experience with age verification technologies and parental consent systems
- Familiarity with fraud detection, content moderation, or cybersecurity
- CIPP certification or equivalent privacy credentials
- Experience working with child advocacy organizations or privacy regulators
