VP / Director, Business Development, CTV Content Intelligence
VP / Director, Business Development, CTV Content Intelligence
Pixalate · New York, NY / Washington DC (Hybrid) · Full-Time
Reports to CEO · Ad Tech / CTV Measurement · Individual contributor with leadership path
We are seeking a VP or Director of Business Development, CTV Content Intelligence to lead the commercial expansion of Pixalate’s CTV content measurement and analytics product suite. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting directly to the CEO.
You will be responsible for scaling go-to-market partnerships, driving strategic integrations with highly selective and technically sophisticated partners, and developing the commercial model — working closely with product, engineering, marketing, and sales.
This is a builder role. The right candidate has launched a new product or product category before and is energized by developing a market from scratch. This is not a quota-carrying sales role; however, you will own commercial outcomes and revenue accountability at the highest level.
Responsibilities
- Scale go-to-market partnerships and drive strategic integrations with highly selective, technically sophisticated partners across the programmatic CTV supply chain — with a focus on SSPs as the primary near-term priority, followed by DSPs and agency buyers
- Identify, evaluate, and close high-value SSP integration partnerships, establishing Pixalate as a key content intelligence layer across programmatic CTV supply paths
- Develop and grow a portfolio of enterprise partnerships with DSPs and agency trading desks, structuring agreements that include access terms, technical integration commitments, and clear commercial pathways
- Develop the commercial model for CTV Content Intelligence from the ground up — pricing architecture, packaging tiers, segment licensing economics, API access model, and SSP revenue share structures
- Define and document the value proposition for each target buyer segment — SSPs, DSPs, agency trading desks, independent agencies, brands, and publishers — in collaboration with product and marketing
- Work closely with product and engineering to translate partner and market feedback into product requirements and ensure integrations are technically feasible within the roadmap
- Build the GTM playbook for the broader sales organization, including ideal customer profile, buyer personas, objection handling, competitive positioning, and deal structure
- Represent Pixalate at industry forums and key CTV industry events to establish CTV Content Intelligence as a market-standard product
- Report directly to the CEO on partnership pipeline, integration progress, commercial model evolution, and GTM performance
Requirements
- 8–15 years of experience in business development or commercial leadership within ad tech, CTV/streaming measurement, or advanced TV
- Deep knowledge of the programmatic CTV ecosystem — supply chain dynamics, SSP and DSP relationships, audience measurement, and content transparency
- Demonstrated experience closing or managing SSP or DSP-level data partnerships, including segment licensing, supply path integrations, or data syndication agreements
- Prior experience at a data, measurement, or programmatic infrastructure company — SSP, DSP, measurement, identity, verification, or similar
- Proven track record of taking a new product or product category to market from an early stage — not only managing existing partnership books
- Existing relationships at the VP or C-level across SSPs, DSPs, and major agency holding company trading desks
- Comfortable in technical product conversations with engineering and product leadership as well as external technology counterparts at SSPs and DSPs
- Highly self-directed; able to operate effectively with limited infrastructure and a high degree of ambiguity
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with linear TV measurement, audience ratings, or show-level content data — including familiarity with how program-level data is structured, licensed, and used in advertising transactions
- Understanding of how show-level and program-level transparency impacts programmatic CTV buying decisions, campaign planning, and brand safety
- Experience in the FAST channel ecosystem — familiarity with free ad-supported streaming platforms, their inventory, and their programmatic supply chains
- Familiarity with EPG data, content metadata standards, or CTV content measurement products
- Prior experience at or with a leading CTV, linear TV, or cross-platform measurement company
- Startup or early-stage company experience; comfortable with lean teams and evolving product roadmaps
