ABOUT THE ROLE

As a QA Engineer at Pixalate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and excellence of our products. Collaborating with our engineering and data science teams, you'll develop, implement, and maintain effective testing strategies, with a primary focus on data integrity and automated UI testing. This role is key in ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of quality and exceeds our customers' expectations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be hands-on in performing Data QA and building Plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to understand product changes and define applicable tests.
  • Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases, focusing particularly on data integrity and UI functionality.
  • Carry out functional, integration, and regression testing, with a focus on data testing and automated UI testing.
  • Identify, log, and track defects throughout the testing process, ensuring that all data and UI issues are effectively addressed.
  • Use queries or other tools to validate data, verify transformation rules, and conduct back-end testing.
  • Implement automated UI testing processes using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Pixalate's QA methodologies.
  • Document QA procedures, ensuring the sharing of knowledge and best practices within the team.
  • Other responsibilities as needed

 

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a QA role, with a particular focus on Data QA and UI testing.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL or BigQuery Standard SQL for data validation and testing.
  • Experience with automated UI testing tools.
  • Understanding of ML models and methodologies for QA’ing training data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
